Sun & Safari was created in 2020 by Kim Patrikios, who holds over 10 years experience in the travel industry. In the past few years, the business has grown from strength to strength through the amazing clients she has had the privilege of working with. Sun and Safari is motivated by a love for travel and Africa, along with a passion for meeting new people and forming relationships.

Cara has over 5 years experience in luxury travel, with a specific focus on exclusive-use villas across both south and east Africa. She has represented remote properties along the African shoreline, as well as swish villas in the Mother City. Having attended numerous international trade shows representing high-end South African properties, Cara is familiar with travel trends, as well as the tour operators booking South Africa. Liaising with both travel designer and high-end guests, Cara is familiar with navigating the delicate space of luxury travel.
These experiences have equipped Cara to create interesting itineraries for guests that are wanting to experience the best of Africa with complete privacy. Cara's passion is curating bespoke journeys of the under-explored and routes less travelled. Cara is your girl on the ground for whats hot and happening in Cape Town and is always keen to share her knowledge.
With a Masters in Cultural and Creative Industries from King's College London, Cara has a scrupulous eye for detail, and a knack for matching properties and experiences to guests. During her seven year tenure in the UK, she travelled extensively through both Europe and the Americas, offering her insight into what holistically makes an unforgettable stay.

Jonty is the Corporate Sales Executive at Sun & Safari, where he works closely with corporate clients and wedding planners to create memorable experiences across Southern and East Africa. With a background in sales, administration, and hospitality, Jonty has developed a strong appreciation for relationship-building and delivering exceptional service.
Prior to joining Sun & Safari, Jonty spent over a year supporting executive sales teams and managing LinkedIn outreach and administrative operations at Rapid Addition. Having also lived and worked in the UK, he gained valuable experience in customer service and developed a keen eye for detail. These experiences have equipped Jonty with the ability to understand client needs and build meaningful partnerships across the travel industry.
Having travelled extensively throughout South Africa and visited many of the properties represented by Sun & Safari, Jonty brings first-hand knowledge and enthusiasm to every interaction. Known for his positive attitude, strong communication skills, and charismatic approach, he is passionate about connecting clients with exceptional properties and showcasing the very best experiences Africa has to offer.

Carmen lives in Cape Town and has a great love for South Africa and sharing the beauty of our country with others.
With a degree in Conservation Ecology/ Nature Conservation she is excited to be involved in promoting establishments that value sustainability.
Carmen has been with the team for over a year already. She interacts with clients daily to assist the sales team to schedule meetings and organise site visits. Her administrative support keeps the wheels of our company running.
