There are few places in the world that you can look out to see giraffe as well as the ocean in the background.
Sandcastle Luxury Villa is located on a 500-acre private reserve within the Wesley Coastal Conservancy, Eastern Cape. This prime location on the South African coast is malaria-free with warm sea waters year-round and the most breath-taking wrap around views with wildlife (all non-dangerous game). Arrive by plane, heli, boat or self-drive (no 4x4 needed) – there really is no reason not to get here!
Sleep
Exclusively booked for up to 8 guests, our villa looks out over the ocean with only antelope and giraffe to interrupt the view. Each room in the villa has been curated with artefacts from both Africa and South America. The walls have been made to replicate real sandcastles, utilising beach sand from the beach it looks over.
Sandcastle has 4 en-suite ocean facing bedrooms (2 master suites and 2 twin suites), an ocean-facing infinity pool, a sheltered Mexican inspired courtyard with solar heated plunge pool. The rooms offer magnificently large, thoughtfully appointed en-suite facilities, with floor-to-ceiling views from the showers and a luxurious bath.
Eat
The villa has an open plan living area with wrap around view lounge, sunken lounge, entertainment room as well as indoor & outdoor dining facilities, wine cellar and bar, a pizza oven and two braai areas. There is a theatre kitchen, for guests to interact and see how the food is prepared. A dedicated team, including a guide, chef, and housekeepers are allocated for your stay.
Three gourmet meals, including refreshments, are served daily at your convenience. A selection of local spirits, beers, wines and soft drinks are available.
Destination dining experiences across the reserve can also be arranged.
Experience
As Sandcastle is set in a private game reserve and has private beachfront access, the activities are endless: Dune boarding, fishing, kayaking, game viewing, swimming, hikinig and more.
With no predators, it is easy to explore the reserve by foot, either with a guide or enjoy a hike by yourself. Guided nature activities included archaeological beach walks, reserve hikes or birding kayaking adventures.
We also offer dedicated children's activities, with games and child-minding facilities (children of all ages are welcome).
Gym-in-a-bag and in-room massage treatments are also available.

Ideally suited to events with a maximum of 50 guests, Sandcastle can however extend to 100 guests depending on the time of the year. We offer 3 different packages (Venue Only, Intimate Celebration with 30 Guests or 100 Guest Celebrations), all inclusive of all essential vendors such as photographers, caterers, equipment hire, decor and DJ hire. All our packages include a three night stay at Sandcastle Villa for 8 guests including the bridal couple beginning the day of your wedding.

It couldn't be easier to access Sandcastle with over 12 direct flights a day into East London Airport from both Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Sandcastle is situated along the “Sunshine Coast” in the Eastern Cape between East London (75 km to the north east) and Port Alfred (50 km to the south west). Access to Sandcastle is either by air, road or helicopter. The reserve has a 700-metre grass runway that is suitable for a Pilatus PC12, Cessna Caravan and other smaller aircraft
